John Morrison vs. Drew McIntyre for the Intercontinental Championship

What I’d Do
I would get the title off John Morrison as soon as possible. Let’s give him the one-level-above-Intercontinental-level treatment and see how he handles it. Throw a big title-less feud his way for Wrestlemania. His wrestling ability should be enough to warrant this and it’s apparent his mic work ain’t getting any better. Let’s get Drew McIntyre an old school Mr. Perfect style I.C. title reign that lasts all of 2010.

What They’ll Do
Ready for this? I think Drew wins the title. Straight up. Change is in the air for Morrison, I just can’t tell if it’s going to be good or bad for him.

Shelton Benjamin vs. Christian for the ECW Championship (Ladder Match)

What I’d Do:
Not book this match so early in the card since it will steal the show. Get more of ECW involved in some sort of run-in finish. Basically anything to get some attention on people not named Christian or Shelton. At this point it doesn’t really matter who winds up champion since the current ECW booking is looking like the old HHH loop.

What They’ll Do:
Put this match first or second to “warm up” the crowd, when really whatever match follow this will most likely kill it. Christian wins straight up.

Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton

What I’d Do:
This is a tough call. My gut tells me to keep Randy Orton high status here, but I’ve been bitching for months about how the WWE seems to be avoiding elevating the mid-carders. So I take Kofi in a clean win and put him in the same class as John Morrison.

What They’ll Do:
Double disqualification. Nothing is resolved. I have $20 on this.

John Cena vs. Sheamus for the WWE Championship

What I’d Do:
Sheamus dominates in a Brock Lesnar/Undertaker fashion leaving wrestling fans with dropped jaws and kids in Cena merch crying. John Cena takes time off to film movie and comes back heel (or never).

What They’ll Do:
John Cena smashes Sheamus through a table, shattering the wood as well as our hopes of something fresh and surprising taking place.

DX vs. The Big Show and Chris Jericho for the Tag Team Championship

What I’d Do:
I don’t let DX anywhere near the tag team championship. If I’m sitting in the writer’s room on this one and I get to choose the outcome of one match it’s this one. Hands down. These belts will get killed on DX.

What They’ll Do:
DX wins the titles and every single piece of merchandise is re-released with HBK and HHH wearing the gold.

The Undertaker vs. Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship

What I’d Do:
Rey Mysterio attempts to interfere in the match, but it costs Undertaker the title. At the Royal Rumble Mysterio accidentally eliminates The Undertaker. At Wrestlemania, Rey Mysterio vs. Undertaker in a special “One of the only matchups left for the Undertaker” match. Batista starts nasty reign as a nasty champion.

What They’ll Do:
Undertaker keeps his title until Wrestlemania for a special “Non Dramatic World Heavyweight Title Match” match.
