Examples of Studio 8's Work

Intel “Mobile Manners” Campaign – 6/09

After Intel hired Justine Ezarik to be the face of their new “Mobile Manners” campaign, she brought us onto the project to write and produce a series of web videos which would offer a comedic interpretation of Intel’s marketing surveys. They included the videos in THIS interactive press release, as well as releasing the videos on multiple video platforms. Most of the views came from Justine’s YouTube Channel and can be seen HERE.

AT&T “Lost in America” Web Series – 12/08

AT&T bought this concept from Tremor Media, cast web stars iJustine and Karenism, and then hired Studio 8 to produce this series from the ground up. With the tiniest budget imaginable, we shot 16 webisodes in 3 cities – Anchorage, Austin, and Chicago. According to metrics from Tremor, the series’ microsite has gotten over 6 million unique video views.
Approx. views across all video sites: 6,550,000

KevJumba/MusicShake Video – 9/08

Studio 8 was hired to write and produce this video for music software company MusicShake. Utilizing the popularity of YouTube stars KevJumba and Katers17, we produced the above video, along with an extended version and an MP3 and ringtone of the song within the video.

Comedy Central’s “AtomTV” – ONGOING

In the past year, Comedy Central has purchased 4 of our videos to air on their weekly television show AtomTV. We are currently pitching series and sketch concepts to them. One of the vids they bought from us, “The Hand,” was “hand”-picked by horror film director/writer Wes Craven to be featured on YouTube’s homepage on Halloween 2008. That video was featured on every major video site and has been seen millions of times.

Bikini Zone Web Commercial – 7/08

Brock pitched this web-only ad to the brand Bikini Zone, they liked it, and then hired us to produce it. Since it was for the internet, we wanted to make something funny, sexy, and slightly confusing and controversial. We ended up releasing the above fake Japanese version and later an English version across many video sites. Bikini Zone recently contacted us about chopping this down into a 15-second version to air on national television, which is still in negotiations.
Approx. views across all video sites: 2,500,000

“Stabbing at Leia’s Birthday Party” – 2/07

One of our most viral hits to date. It’s easy to do that with Star Wars material. Go figure. Brock wrote and produced this video with his director friend Josh Trank, who wanted to use it for his directing reel. After he put it on YouTube to see what people would say about it, lots of people had lots to say and the video racked up millions and millions of views in its first week. It was pretty huge. Anyway, chances are, if you’ve looked at the internet in the past 2 years, you’ve seen that video, which actually somehow landed Josh a directing agent and launched his career in film and TV.
Approx. views across all video sites: 5,000,000
