Look what some childs did!

This is fairly precious.
A couple of “board kids” with a video camera and less than 2 minutes of free time on their hands filmed a dramatic reenactment of one of our episodes of “Mr. White’s List of Demands” and slapped it up on YouTube. They did it a few months ago, but we just found it, and immediately wanted to share.
There are a number of fun things about this video, some of which I will discuss now:
- Their version is drastically shorter than the original, and since it’s done in one shot, I imagine that they just performed as much as they could remember from our video and then uploaded the result. Neat!
- Carson and Ms. Brodack inhabit the same frame. We’ve released 6 episodes of “Mr. White” thus far and we’ve never had Carson and Mr. White on the screen together, nor did Carson ever appear with Ms. Brodack onscreen. There might be a very good reason for this, but we will leave that mystery open for future episodes to reveal.
- The ending: Carson has never lashed out in anger or violence in our series (thus far), but for some reason, these children have Carson commit a murder to end their video. The sweetest part of this is when the Ms. Brodack kid falls out of his chair, he reveals a chubby little caricature of himself that was hanging on the wall perfectly behind his head. So even though they had no special effects and probably didn’t even plan it this way, their ending just seems to fit into the Mr. White universe somehow.
It sure is a treat to see kids getting creative and responding to our silliness with silliness of their own. If you know of any other Studio 8-inspired vids out there, let us know and we will blog about them incessantly.
