Picture Story
Mardi Street in New Bourbon on Orleans Gras
Page 1

The Players: (pictured left to right): Java, Chris, Truston, and
Fernando. The Cameraman: Jared (not pictured). The Camera:
The Panasonic TJ-444 (taking this picture).

The Game: To track down and document the elusive, mythic party
known as "Mardi Gras" somewhere in the city of New Orleans on Bourbon Street
(which probably looks something like the above picture).

The Resources at The Boys' Disposal: Their sharp wits, their
upper-body strength, four metal ladders, their pants, and their combined
collection of 80's techno mixed tapes. Also, one diesel-driven, turbo-charged,
internally-carpeted, racing van with an awesome power that can only be
harnessed by a grown man using his leverage and tugging on two seatbelts tied
to the steering column (as Truston displays above).

The Problem: None of the boys know how to get from Baton Rouge
to New Orleans, much less to Bourbon Street, though they do have four ladders
to stand on to help them see further.

The Penny Arcade: The only place to play arcades for a penny.

Along their journey, will the boys become the mindless puppets of an insane,
drunken drifter who will force them to commit lewd dancing routines in front
of family restaurants for loose change?

And will that same drunkard squander all of their loose change on a beer, and
later, using a few carefully-chosen television catchphrases and mysterious
winks, implant bitter seeds of discord among the four boys?

Or will the boys beat this hypothetical drunkard at his own game, eventually
convincing him to let go of the inner torment of childhood molestation that
drove him to the bottle time and time again?
