HotorNot.com sure is a Self-Esteem Booster!!!
by Barbara Stanson
A few nights ago, I rented some Aaron Carter
videos by myself and ran through the remains of a box of Whoppers I found in my
upstairs fridge. After the movies, I decided to waste the night away again on
the internet. I was just surfing around when I stumbled onto HotorNot.com. I
thought, "Hey, what a fun way to pass the time til breakfast!"

Above: The pic I submitted to HotorNot. I know, it's HOT!!! NOT! |
Turns out, you can submit a picture to the site and
they post it for others to come by to rate them. I figured since I don't have
any real friends, this would be the perfect way to get some feedback on my new
haircut!
So right then and there, I was a little wild and
submitted my picture (my personal fave by the way). I went to sleep that night
anxious and hungry. All I dreamed about was McRibs coming back soon and whether
I was going to be voted 'Hot' or 'Not' and Milk Duds.
When I awoke the next afternoon, I grabbed a few
donuts I had saved from lunch yesterday.
I immediately logged onto HotorNot.com. All of this got me a little sweaty, so I
took a nap. When I got back up, I saw that 4,965 votes had already been tallied.
Even after voting myself "10" a couple dozen times, my overall score was still a
2.4 out of 10.
At first I got sad and ate a loaf of bread. It
was just a stupid picture on a stupid website. But then I thought, "2.4 isn't
all that bad. It could be worse, it could be a 1 or something." That made me
happy and I ate a block of cheddar cheese.
So in the end, I felt better about myself and I
made 4,965 new cyber-friends! I highly recommend everybody submitting your
pictures to this site, even if you are fat and ugly! Goodbye!
