Uprooted from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, Studio 8 is a group of young comedians and video
wizards currently based in Austin and Los Angeles who work cheaply and quickly to produce maximum laughs for
minimum dollars. Our website, Studio8.net, draws thousands of unique
visitors every day to look at our 100% original content – articles,
music, videos - you name it, it’s in there somewhere.
Our work has been featured on G4’s Attack of the Show,
CW's Online Nation, eBaum's World, Cracked.com, iFilm, Revver,
Crackle, DailyMotion, MySpace, Metacafe, and into the darkest,
furthest reaches of the internet. Recent clients who we've produced
videos for include
American Eagle,
Demand Media,
Cracked,
SuperDeluxe,
Break,
TheDailyReel.com,
TrekPassions.com,
TomGreen.com, and
GamingPassions.com.
Studio 8 has
collaborated on projects with various web and TV personalities and
groups such as
Carson Daly,
iJustine,
HappySlip,
David Choi, Brookers, and
SecretFunTime.
Our sketch comedy show (Lost in the Woods) was LSU’s highest rated on-campus TV
show for the 2 years that it ran. In 2003, we printed up a wildly
popular satire newspaper called The Campus Dirt and produced Everything is Everything,
a feature-length mockumentary that has been sold on DVD worldwide. We’ve
also produced tons of
short films, 4 feature-length scripts, 5
comedy albums, and printed up a
book - all with embarrassingly
miniscule budgets.
Studio 8 is repped
by
Digital Content Partners, LLC.

Since Brock joined Studio 8 in 2000, he has written and
produced hours of sketch comedy,
several short films, a feature-length mockumentary (Everything
is Everything), a few
comedy albums,
and tons of writing - articles,
a book (The Semi-Complete Guide to
Sort of Being a Gentleman), and a few feature-length screenplays. Currently, Brock is writing his
second and third books, filming lots of sketch comedy, and lives as yet another drop
in the piss-bucket of Hollywood's TV & film industry.
As a stand-up
and improviser, he has performed on stages in Los Angeles, New
Orleans, and Austin.
Jared
Richard - Editor |
Graphic Designer | Music Production | Hardworking Son-of-a Bitch
Jared (pronounced Jared) arrived in Baton Rouge in 2001 at age 19
with a dream. A dream of spending the next 4 years of his life
retaining useless information, stressing over grades, and falling
deeper into debt as an LSU student. This dream was quickly shattered after coming into contact with
Studio 8, and a new dream of success in the entertainment field was
conceived. Jared’s involvement in Studio 8’s well-oiled machine has
ranged from writing articles for the website and satirical newspaper
The Campus Dirt to recording and mixing Studio 8’s comedy albums. Jared
also had a small role in Studio 8’s first
film, Everything is Everything
and also edits most of the sketches and short films that we
do!
Rory Windhorst
- Writer | Actor
Rory is an actor and improv performer hailing from New Orleans.
He joined up with Studio 8 in 2006 after his post-Hurricane
Katrina relocation to Los Angeles. He's performed stand-up and
improv on stages from LA to New York. Rory and Brock just
co-wrote a terrific feature-length comedy film that is at
several film festivals. Aside from writing and filming sketches
with the boys right now, he is writing another script with
Brock. If you want Rory to model some kind of feminine product
or used clothing items, he is available to do such things on
Thursdays and Decembers.
Eric William Pierson
-
Writer |
Actor
E.P. is a miniature giant among men. He's
been in movies, on TV, and ON THE INTERNET, if you can believe
it. An accomplished live performer, visual artist, musician,
writer, and a dedicated hard worker; E.P. is a creative force
that is on his way to leaving his permanent mark on popular
culture. Currently, he's
developing and performing his live one-man show "Imagine
the Band", which has opened for acts such as Neil
Hamburger, Tom Green, and Eric Wareheim.
Javier Marcheselli
-
Contributor |
Actor
Javier (Java) is one of Studio 8's oldest and finest
contributing personalities. Sometimes he directs silly videos,
sometimes he takes fun pictures, and other times he helps pull
crew people together or spread the word about what Studio 8's
latest project is. Also, if you ever need a Fernando, Java is
the number one source for providing you with one of those.
Currently, Java is working as a film editor in Los Angeles.
Truston Aillet
-
Writer |
Actor
Currently in hiatus from Louisiana State
University, where he studies art and philosophy, Truston is taking time to
redefine his boundaries and reclaim a freedom known only to the most enlightened
of individuals. New to film, but not entertainment,
Everything is Everything
is his first major acting role, however, performance is in Truston's blood. He
is a contributing writer and artist to the ever-growing website,
www.studio8.net, is the
author of one major unpublished short story, many shorter ones, a plethora of
poetry, and several paintings that he considers worthy of his name. When he
isn't earning a living, Truston can be found sailing the wandering seas,
exploring God's Creation, and above all else - smiling.
Mikey
Felton -
Music Performer/Production | Contributor |
Actor
Mikey manufactures musical-related things. Sometimes
his songs are funny, sometimes they are serious. Either way,
they're fresh. Currently, Mikey lives in Shreveport, Louisiana,
where he's recording a solo album and working on various feature
film projects in the design department. Since we don't like using
copyrighted music in our videos, Mikey makes beats for most of
them. He also produced the entire
Robulous Album
and co-produced
Terp 2 It's
album. Perhaps he'll release a
solo album of his own one day...
Aside from the above faces, there are others who pitch in part-time
